In a dancer, there is a reverence for such forgotten things as the miracle of the small beautiful bones and their delicate strength. ~Martha Graham

Today I had the opportunity to go on a photo shoot for Briana's Elite Dance Institute and learn from a fellow photographer friend Eric Battershell.   He did a wonderful job with the girls and as I was learning some things from him I decided to take a few of my own shots.  These girls are very young talented dancers and possess such poise and expertise in their dancing abilities.  They are all very disciplined young ladies and are so beautiful and graceful.

Briana is a very close friend of mine and actually her daughter Jayda is Madison's best friend and both girls take dance classes at the studio.  I am looking forward to Madison growing up with dance and learning from Briana and the other instructors at the studio.  One day I hope Madison can be as talented as these young ladies are.  Briana..thanks so much for being a wonderful friend and dance instructor to my daughter..it means the world to me!

These girls are truly talented in so many ways!

Just watching the different poses and positions these girls could get their bodies into was truly amazing to watch!

Dance is a delicate balance between perfection and beauty.

The truest expression of a people is in its dances and its music. Bodies never lie.
Agnes George de Mille

All these girls are so beautiful and have learned from the best!

All the girls had a great time at the photo shoot and were so laid back and easy going. Briana's Elite Dance has taught them alot about life and so much about dance to make them the talented young girls that they are!  Was such a pleasure being part of this fun day!

A Perfect summer evening at the park!

I met Purva Grover and her two little boys Sahas (age 2) and Ruhan ( age 6 mos) at Boettler Park to do a photo session!  I have known Purva for about 3 years and really enjoy her and I knew her boys would be just as sweet as she is!  These little boys are so sweet and definitely love their momma!  I had a lot of fun getting to know both of them and playing around with them to get some cute shots!

Sahas at first was a little shy towards me and then he warmed up very quickly  and became a lot of fun to work with!  His cute little smile warmed my heart in so many ways!  He is such a good listener and was so easy to work with.

Sahas showed up with his shades on and was so cute right off the bat!!

Sahas was so fun to play with, he had the sweetest little personality and was such a sweet silly little boy!

Ruhan is such a sweet little baby boy.  He just melted my heart with his sweet little smile and I loved all his baby "rolls".  He was such a good baby and I enjoyed every moment with him!

Ruhan had the biggest dark brown eyes that captured me right away. He would just look at me with his big eyes and it would just make me smile!

Definitely a sweet baby boy!
Sahas was definitely full of energy like any typical 2 year old boy!  He had so much fun just running around the park exploring everything and just getting into anything that he could.  He is such a cooperative little boy and listened so well to his momma!

I could tell both boys loved their momma very much and are the apple of their mommas eye.  Sahas was so loving toward her and Ruhan was happiest when she was holding him and playing with him!

There has never been , nor will there ever be, anything quite so special as the love between a mother and her son!

I had a great time with Purva and her adorable little boys! It definitely was an evening of fun and excitement just being able to act like a kid again with these little boys.  Thanks Purva for allowing me to get to know your sweet boys!

Life through the eyes of a child...live life to the fullest!

Today I took Madison to Brecksville Reservation so that I could check out the location and get some ideas.  It turned out to be a day of discovery for both Madison & I both. As we walked around the park, Madison had a great time discovering all the beauty that nature has to offer.  I discovered that watching life through the eyes of my daughter is so amazing and that I am truly blessed with many things in my life.

Madison discovered the mushrooms that were all around her.  She asked me if the Smurfs lived under these mushrooms. We had just gone and seen the movie and she was fascinated by these and she kept telling me stories about  all the smurfs and she wanted to touch their houses!
As Madison would touch the top of each mushroom, she would giggle with excitement and say "Mommy, I touched the smurf house"  It's amazing how a child can just buy into a fantasy and accept it.   No analyzing it, no questioning it, just watching in amazement and enjoying each moment to the fullest.
I loved watching Madison discover all the new and beautiful things around her. I realized that no matter what curveball life can throw at you, its the small things in life that make it all worthwhile. As we walked along the path, I slipped Madison's hand into mine and it was as almost in an instant, the troubles and worries of the day disappeared! Just her simple touch and infectious smile brightened my day!
Maddy found the leaves to be fascinating as well. She would pick up each individual leaf up and look at it closely and then blow it away!  I thank God everyday that I can again see life through the eyes of my daughter. The wonderment and excitement that she has for all the new things that she discovers brings a sense of peace to my everyday!

We continued to walk through the beautiful trails and Maddy wanted to play hide and seek. This is one of her favorite games so it is always fun for me to play with her. She would run ahead of me and say "Mommy,  I am going to hide over there"  She always gives away where she is hiding, I just go with it and try to find her even though it's obvious where she is. The pure innocence that she has when we play this game just opens my eyes to the limitless possibilites there are to finding happiness.
As I pushed Maddy on the swing she would say "Higher Mommy, I want to touch the clouds in the sky" Seeing the pure delightment in her face every time I would push her was so breathtaking. The genuine smile on her face and the sweet innocence of her laughter is truly what life is all about!

Spending the afternoon discovering with Madison was so much fun and really made me look at life through her eyes and realize that no matter how difficult a situation may seem to be, I just need to open my eyes and let life happen and do what truly makes me happy.  My photography is a way that I bring happiness to my everyday. Photographs are my way of telling a story  and capturing the special moments in my life and my childrens life and being able to remember everything as it once was and will continue to be.

Today was a day of discovery and learning and growing for Madison and myself as well. I am so thankful for being blessed with two beautiful daughters who have opened my eyes to a new world and let me truly live life through their eyes.
